Ashley Iovine’s desire to “help people who can’t help themselves” inspired her to pursue a career in family law. An accomplished legal strategist known for her kind and supportive nature, Ashley excels at resolving family law matters efficiently and expeditiously. A meticulous researcher and asset tracer, Ashley’s insight is critical to her client’s child custody, complex property division and other concerns.
According to Justin Sisemore, founder of the Sisemore Law Firm, “Ashley is extremely organized and detail driven. She often oversees ‘behind the scenes’ work at the firm, including reviewing temporary orders, exhibits and other documents. Ashley makes sure case strategy is on point, and that all the ‘T’s are crossed and ‘I’s dotted, so we have our firepower ready for mediation or court. She’s also terrific at walking clients through the process and holding the hands that need to be held.”
A native of Houston, Ashley fell in love with the Fort Worth area from the minute she arrived at Texas Christian University to pursue her undergraduate degree. After graduating with a B.S. in journalism in 2012, Ashley attended the University of Oklahoma, where she earned her juris doctor degree in 2015. Though she enjoyed her time in Oklahoma, Ashley says, “I’ll always be a Horned Frog at heart.”
While journalism aligned well with her interests in research, reading and writing, Ashley’s desire to help people who could not help themselves—including a brother with special needs—inspired her to go to law school. Since joining the Sisemore Law Firm in 2017, Ashley has helped numerous clients navigate the legal and emotional turmoil that divorce and child custody disputes bring.
As she explains, “With family law, especially when children are in the picture, you deal with personal matters that are incredibly emotional. It’s a field that requires much more than fierce advocation. It also requires a lot of counseling to get people through some of the worst moments in their lives. I’m very passionate about helping people who thought they were a half of a whole to become whole again. I truly enjoy the hand-holding and the counselor side of my job.”
When she isn’t advocating for her clients, Ashley enjoys spending time with her husband Patrick, their young son Patrick, Jr. and the family’s Golden Retriever, Trigger. You’ll also find Ashley in the kitchen most nights, as she loves to unwind while cooking. In addition, the TCU alum continues to support her Horned Frogs as an assistant director of the TCU Showgirls dance team, is a member of the Junior League and enjoys other philanthropic endeavors.
